This publication is a personal response to 'Letters to a Young Poet' by Rainer Maria Rilke, a collection of letters offering advice on the creativity and solitude that shapes an artist's life. Using Rilke’s writing as a foundation, I explore my own experiences with the creative process.
I’ve always dreaded the “trust the process” phase, where ideas are still developing and haven’t yet begun to take shape. A mix of past sketches, gestural drawings, and found textures is used to illustrate the mess that unfolds before arriving at a final, polished product.
